Q&A session at the Lycée Branly about opportunities for studying abroad
On October 12th we held a Q&A session at the Lycée Branly about opportunities for studying abroad. Speakers at the meeting included parents whose children are now studying in England and Scotland (or whose children had successfully applied to study abroad but finally chose to stay in France). We talked in detail about the application process through UCAS, tuition fees, the financial help available, the trials and tribulations of writing the personal statement and life for our children abroad. We also received feedback from a member who attended the International Student Fair organised in Paris in September by the association CIS (Council for International Schools) in partnership with AAWE. Several parents expressed an interest in Canada and an Apesia member whose child successfully applied to a Canadian university would be very pleased to share his experience with us. He could not attend the meeting on this occasion but we will organise another session very soon.
